That Spanish city is really popular last minute destination, because of it architecture, which is spectacular. It was designed by brilliant artist Gaudi, his buildings are mix of Catalan and medieval architecture, you may notice it nicely in Sagrada Famila basilica. This temple is still in progress, but even so it is a symbol of whole Barcelona.
Another nice work of his is Casa Mila, pretty mansion decorated with many colorful stones and ornaments. If you are fan of more conventional style, go for a trip to St. Eulalia’s basilica, phenomenal Gothic building.
